Sunday Funday: Bubble Party

Step 1: Get some Bubbles
Any kind of bubbles with do. You can get glow-in-the-dark ones or make your own. Just load up on bubbles. Maybe get one of those Wubbles!

Step 2: Go Outside
It's not the best to just stay inside with bubbles. I mean... if you have another space where you feel comfortable bubbling, go for it.

Step 3: BUBBLES!!!
Get the bubbles going! Put on some music if you want or just have fun blowing bubbles! It's really just all about the bubbles and having some laughs. Enjoy!

Sunday Funday: Lava Lamps

Make your own temporary lava lamp, with this super cool experiment.

Materials:
      • Vegetable Oil
      • Water
      • Food Coloring
      • Fizzing Tablet (ex: Alka-Seltzer)
      • Clear plastic bottle or tall glass
        • As long as you have enough oil, type won't be an issue.
      • Flashlight (not required, but could make it look cool in the dark.)
Instructions:
      1. Fill the container with the ratio of 1/4 water to 3/4 vegetable oil.
        • This is VERY important. I ran out of oil, so I didn't fill my glass as much as I wanted and the reaction wasn't as cool as it could have been.
      1. Don't go crazy, but drop in maybe 10ish drops of food coloring.
        • Bright colors like red are recommended.
      1. Now break the fizzing tablet into 2-3 parts.
      2. Drop 1 part of the fizzing tablet into the container and watch the magic go!
        • In a larger container (like a 2L), you might be able to break and drop the fizzies in different spots.
Note: You can keep adding fizzing tablets when it slows down. We even waited overnight, after the first time,  and got a reaction. Everything had separated and tah-dah! It worked again.

Warning: Try to drop the tablet in the middle of the container or it kinda looks less cool.

Sunday Funday: Backside Pictionary

This fun little activity is all over the internet right now. I can't tell you how many times I've caught videos of this on my social media feeds. Join the craze of Backside Pictionary or the Doodle Challenge, whatever you want to call it. I prefer Backside Pictionary, because I think Doodle Challenge also translates into quite a few other things that aren't this particular activity. Either way, ENJOY!

Note: I know this isn't something you can do solo or with people who you aren't safer-at-homing with. Forgive me for that and if you come up with a solo version, let me know. Someone recommended using a long "broom handle" or "pole" of at least 6ft.

How to play:
  1. Take a piece of paper and tape it to a wall/door/vertical flat surface.
  2. Get a marker to draw on the paper with.
      • Make sure it won't bleed through the paper onto the vertical surface OR the back of your partner.
  3. Take a piece of paper and hold it or tape it onto the back of your partner.
  4. Draw on the paper and make sure your partner can feel it.
      • They might need to bend forward a little to give you a harder surface.
  5. On the piece of paper on the vertical surface, they should draw what they think you are drawing.
      • Take your time with each part of the picture, checking that they have drawn something before you go on.
  6. When you are finished, compare.
Other versions: Try multiple people lined up. Flashcards (letters, numbers, basic shapes). Words.
